While the 2019 Golden Globes was a lovely evening for fashion and style, there were still those that brought a jaw-dropping sense of “style” to the opening of the 2019 red carpet season. So who were our worst dressed candidates you ask?
2019 Golden Globes Walk of Shame…Boy Oh Boys!
Usually the guys keep it pretty safe and neutral when walking the red carpet. While we applaud a man sticking his neck out there and taking a fashion risk, there a fine line to walk for them so that they don’t end up becoming fashion victims. These fellas didn’t fare very well in this case.
Is it a bib? Are they suspenders? Timothée Chalamet looked like he was preparing to eat a crawfish feast and we’re cracking up over it.Billy, you are fly, but this suit by Randi Rahm isn’t on you!This weird quasi cold shoulder moment by Cody Fern left us cold
Girls Gone Wild at the 2019 Golden Globes
Alison Brie in Custom Vera Wang let her insides hang out a little too much for us. This bustier didn’t give this look a boost and quite frankly did it in completely.Anne Hathaway in Elie Saab gown screams vertigoCross our heart, we hate this Rodarte dress that Andy Samberg chose.Heidi Klum kind of looks like she’s giving birth to flowers in this dress by Monique Lhuillier giving a new definition of the term mother earth.Tailoring is everything and this is especially true when you are “attempting” to wear a tuxedo and not have it wear you. Somebody better pass this info on to Judy Greer in this Alberta Ferretti tux. The enlarged bowtie paired with the ill-fitting tux looks like she’s the ringmaster at the big top circus.Sofia Carson in this Giambattista Valli gown is one busy body!Lucy Liu looking a little coocoo in her Galia Lahav gownAmber Heard’s drop waist Monique Lhullier dress (which reminded us of a sagging diaper) and wild child hair and harsh makeup created a frenzied look of chaos.Consider this Exhibit-A. A close up shot of Amber Heard!While we love, love, love Chanel, Janelle Monáe in this Chanel piece would have worked better if her Wonder Woman belt were invisible. Pick one major accessory and let it shine please!We know we also put Lady Gaga, in her dramatic Valentino gown, on our best dressed list, but we have to confess that we have a love/hate relationship with her look. Here’s our beef. After working so hard to present herself as a “serious” actress, which she has proven she can be, we hate that she overdid her look with the clown car hair color. We get it, you can match your blues.
